Bond Election FAQs

As many residents may already know, the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 154 (the “District” or “HCMUD 154”) has called for a bond authorization proposition to be on the election ballot for Tuesday, November 5, 2024. To ensure that residents and other constituents of the District have accurate information regarding the proposed authorization and the Board’s goals for the District, we have put together answers for common questions. This page will be updated to address additional questions and provide additional information prior to the election.

If vehicles are parked too close to mailboxes, your mail might not be delivered. Please leave adequate clearance for USPS Postal vehicles to maneuver.

Trash Collection Guidelines

Trash collection days for Harris County MUD 154 residents are Wednesday and Saturday.

  • Trash must be at the curb in resident provided containers (30-50 gallons) or bags (40 pounds) by 7:00 a.m. on collection days.
  • Please place the trash on the edge of the curb/driveway and not in the street.
  • Please ensure that there is at least 4 feet of space all around for the trash to be collected.
  • Please do not block any trash with a vehicle or trailer.

ATVs On the District’s Detention Ponds

“NOTICE: The Board of Directors of MUD 154 has been made aware of the increase in off-road vehicles and ATVs on the District’s detention ponds. The Board would like to remind all customers that such vehicles result in significant damages and are not permitted along the District’s detention ponds. Violators will be charged for trespassing on agricultural land.”
